The photographer explains that the man seen sporting RTs here is "one of Oxford's most venerable academics".
Judging by the youthful pallor of the back of his neck and the fluffy bit of hair at the top, I'd say he was more of a wally undergraduate. Can anyone in Oxford confirm or deny?
Obviously a new tick! We seriously well-qualified Oxford fellows would not wear such ordinary trousers - I am currently taking it easy in some livid pink cords with ducks embroidered on. This shows why I was such a successful academic and moral tutor to the particularly wayward.

ReplyDeleteGeorge Scratcherd?
ReplyDeleteIt's Alexander Reut Hobbs!
ReplyDeleteIt's "Oxoniensis". Otherwise, great blog!
ReplyDeleteOh dear, that's embarrassing. "Oxfordiensis" is, however, used as a cod latin species name (so it seems from google) so I'll let it stand...
ReplyDeleteI know this gentleman. He is indeed a noted academic and a thoroughly nice chap with a good knowledge of port.
ReplyDeleteThere is, however, an actual academic with a penchant for reds: Prof Charles Spence...
ReplyDeleteIt's definitely Alexander Reut-Hobbs, a fourth year New College classicist.
ReplyDeleteYes, it's me, Alexander Reut-Hobbs!

I've actually got a 3GS...
ReplyDeleteI think it's Hadrian Wise
